When the ABA merged with the NBA, the NBA decided to take only 4 of the 6 teams. They bought out the owner of the Kentucky franchise for 3.3 million, but the owners of St Louis asked for and got 2% of the associations TV revenues into perpetuity, as if they still had a franchise. And you thought the Herschel Walker trade was a bad deal.
