Unnameable Press Specialty Book Publishers – Atlanta, GA Specialty press publisher of dark fantasy, fantasy & horror limited edition books. Founded in 1984 by Jame A. Riley. In 1999, he became involved in designing cards for NostalgiCards and created a single promo card that ran on the edge of a production sheet of other promos. This mainly promoted the launch of an early website. Card #UP-1 – front shows 4 book covers and back has details about the publisher. In 2002, Jame designed a set of promotional cards for Transformer Films in Brooklyn, NY. With space on the sheet, he added 2 additional promotional Unnameable Press cards. UP-2 – Anubis illustration that was a frontispiece for the deluxe version of the dark fantasy anthology, When the Black Lotus Blooms. Art by PJ Meacham. UP-3 – B&W illustration by press founder, Jame A. Riley for the Black Lotus short story, “The Lon Chaney Factory” by Brad Linaweaver. In 2009, Jame was once again approached by Transformer Films for another card set. This time, it coincided with the 25th Anniversary of Unnameable Press, so more promos were created using the same format and numbering. About 150 of each card went to the illustrators for their own personal self-promotion as well. Many of these were sold as sets on eBay and sent out with book sales. For the 25th Anniversary – 1984-2009 UP-4 2009 Raven frontispiece - from Once Upon a Midnight – by Alan Clark UP-5 2009 “Waygift” illustration - from When the Black Lotus Blooms – by Debbie Hughes UP-6 2009 photo - Jame A. Riley from Minor Apocalypses and Other Small Horrors UP-7 2009 unpublished 20-yr History of UP - cover design UP-8 2009 inset cover illustration from the Grails anthology – by Robert Gould
