Photos, letters, and other ephemera from the personal memorabilia collection of former MLB pitcher Paul Minner. Highlight is a letter from the Mobile Bears addressed to him team letterhead, with accompanying letter from Mel Jones on Brooklyn Dodger team letterhead. The letter from the Mobile team dated Jam 11, 1946 is informing Paul that he has been invited to a special pre spring training camp the Dodgers were holding for returning servicemen who were in the minors at the time they were called to serve to see if they had developed enough to make the jump to the majors, and references an enclosed letter with further instructions. This letter was signed by long time minor league executive Edgar Allen.
The other correspondence was the enclosed letter. It is a generically addressed note that gives information about who will pay for travel and pay their expenses the Montreal club, what type of instruction and opportunities the players, and notes that wives will not be able to attend someone felt this line was important enough to underline in pen. Signed by Mel Jones, GM og the Montreal minor league team on Brooklyn Dodger letterhead, dated Jan 4, 1946.
