Lot Description  

Deceased 1995. Signed in blue marker without inscription. Photo depicts Mantle taking batting practice during spring training. Caption reads "New York Yankee Slugger Mickey Mantle takes healthy cut at ball during batting practice 2/28. Mantle, who is scheduled to report 3/1, beat the spring training gun and has been working out early". Back bears a UPI stamp. Cool prelude to the Yankees historic 1961 season!
