You simply don't see the ad back set in complete set form very often. We were able to track down two other complete set sales in the last 20 years. Even singles don't come up incredibly often and collectors usually have a "if you see it, buy it" attitude towards these. This collection was the proverbial grandfather collection handed down after his passing. The family got them graded recently and these are brand new to the hobby having never appeared for public sale. These also, generally, present very nicely from the front but have typical back issues. Cards:
#1 Getting Under Way SGC 1 POOR One of the cards that is in rougher shape even on the front of the card with heavy damage to the upper right and some staining on the front as well as the back.
#2 A Forward Pass SGC 1 POOR Staining and some warping but a presentable card with square corners and a good image
#3 The Start of One of Those Famous 50-yd Runs) SGC 2 GOOD looks EX/MT at a glance with sharp corners and quite clean. There is a small, light stain near the top and some light surface issues on the front as well as light to moderate staining on the reverse.
