Lot Description  

Online records show the game in question was played September 14th of 1917, with proceeds going to buy baseball equipment for US soldiers and sailors. Some editing marks on the photo. "Choosing up for the big game, Fairbanks vs Billy Sunday" is handwritten in pencil on the back. Back is also stamped "Reference Dept July 7 1923 N.E.A" which would likely be the date it was archived.
