All the AAGPBL items in this auction came to us from a consignor who lives near Sellersville, PA, where 6 time AAGPBL All Star Ruth Richard (Grand Rapids Chicks and Rockford Peaches, Allington's All Stars and Women's World Champions barnstorming teams) spent most of her life. We do not have a chain of provenance to definitively tie these to her personal collection, but given that each item has a connection to her (She played on the team in the program, the only picture that doesn't include her includes her first manager), it certainly seems plausible.

Back stamped by Robinson Studio of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Robinson Studio provided photography services to the Grand Rapids Herald from 1933-1950, and sent a photographer to cover the AAGPBL spring training prior to the 1947-1949 seasons. We were only able to identify one of the Peaches - 6 time AAGPBL All star Ruth Richard is on the right. Her presence in a Rockford uniform means the photo has to be 1948 or later, as Richard was a member of the Grand Rapids Chicks prior to that.
