All the AAGPBL items in this auction came to us from a consignor who lives near Sellersville, PA, where 6 time AAGPBL All Star Ruth Richard (Grand Rapids Chicks and Rockford Peaches, Allington's All Stars and Women's World Champions barnstorming teams) spent most of her life. We do not have a chain of provenance to definitively tie these to her personal collection, but given that each item has a connection to her (She played on the team in the program, the only picture that doesn't include her includes her first manager), it certainly seems plausible.

While the AAGPBL folded following the their 1954 season, an all star team of Women's players was put together by Bill Allington. Called Allington's All Stars from 1955-1956 and The Women's World Champions from 1957 onward (sources disagree on when they disbanded), the team toured the country playing against town teams, semi-pro teams, and the occasional minor league team. As one might expect from a barnstorming program, it is not for a specific date, and the opponent is listed on the scorecard as "Home Team." Scorecard has not been scored. There is spine stress and some staple rust, as well as a light crease in the upper right.
