The Royal Stars of Baseball was one of the sets available on packages of Royal Dessert products. The cards themselves can be difficult to find in good condition (as is typical for package cards), intact boxes are exceedingly rare and seldom come up for sale. This box has the Royal Stars of Baseball #19 Dick Sisler black tint on the back. Some crush damage to the box has resulted in light creasing on the right hand side of the card panel. Box otherwise shows light to moderate shelf wear, but is still completely closed and the inside product is still intact. (We would strongly recommend against making a pie with it, though).
Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl’s name.
