The cover features boxing champ Larry Holmes, but we're putting this with basketball items because pages 26 and 27 feature the 1981 McDonald's All American team that included a high school senior from Wilmington, NC named Michael Jordan. Maybe you've heard of him. His Airness appears on page 27, 2nd column, third row. While we cannot pin down his first appearance in a national publication, this certainly has to be among the earliest. As an added bonus, that year's team included two other eventual HOFers in Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullin. A must have for any Michael Jordan collector
