The Phillies briefly had two nicknames - though the "Blue Jays" nickname was never particularly popular. Players wore a Blue Jay logo arm path on their uniforms in 1944 and 1945. After the patch was abandoned the Blue Jay logo would still show up on publications and merchandise until 1950, when the club formally abandoned it Source This is a fitted cap, though no size information is visible the cloth is still in good shape, the brim has 1 crease and scuffing.
Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl’s name.
