There are 5 different backs for the Topps Gallery Player Private Issue Inserts: A regular card back numbered to 250, 25 Auction Points/auction rules, 50 auction points/auction rules, 75 auction points/auction rules, 100 auction points/auction rules. As the name suggests, the points could be used to bid on auctions for artwork that incorporated cards, printing plates, and original slides. Whatever the original print run was of the points cards, it seems logical that most will have been redeemed to participate in the auction - and the auction rules are pretty clear that win or lose, you don't get the points card back.
