Painstakingly cut from the newspaper these large (Approx 5.5" x 8") "cards" are actually numbered so they were intended to be cut out and saved as a set. They appeared one each day for 27 days. Highlights are a rookie Richie Allen, HOF'er Jim Bunning, and popular vets like Bobby Shantz, Frank Thomas, Johnny Callison etc. These are cut quite well and were stored safely showing a minimum of wrinkles or tearing which is common with flimsy items like these. Not easy to find complete let alone in such nice shape.
Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl’s name.
