Gertie Dunn (Deceased 2004) is the only signer who was not a member of 1953 Peaches - She was on the South Bend Blue Sox in 1953, and split her AAGBPL career between the Blue Sox and the Battle Creek Belles. She was an accomplished all around athlete - having been a member of the US Women's National Field Hockey Team, and is a member of both the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Halls of Fame. The other signers are Virginia Ventura (Manina), Joan Berger Knebl deceased 2021, and Alice Pollitt deceased 2016.
