Prior to opening the Baseball Card Shop with his wife Pat, Bob had worked as a photographer for Fleer and Donruss, and is the one who came up with and shot the 1983 Fleer #643 and #644 "Black and Blue" cards featuring Bud Black and Vida Blue. He also worked for the Courier Post photographing fires and the Phillies. Matchbooks are in excellent shape with an intact strike strip, but the match heads have been removed.

Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl’s name.
