Definitely one of the odd choices for this set he had been pretty much retired as a player since 1912 playing in a total of 15 games from 1912 to 1914, and he was never a star to begin with. He was however, manager of the 1915 Pennant winning Phillies so even though his shot is an action pose, it's likely that he's being represented as a manager. Thi is a VERY nice pennant with a tiny bit of fraying at the tip and minor soiling.

Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl’s name.

We are finishing up Carl's amazing lifetime collection in this auction and would like to thank everyone who supported the efforts, especially those who made an extra donation on top of our efforts. We will be sending a little over $1000 to the foodbank in Carl's name.
