11 of the 12 are perfectly standard Burke photos of typical post card size. They have the catalog number and player name at the top and the Geo. Burke 847 Belmont Ave. Chicago stmap on the back usually in the lower right. The 12th example, Homer Spragins, has the name hand written in pencil with a spelling correction in pen and a different format catalog number on the right side running perpendicular to the name and no stamp. While Burke's typical style was by no manes without deviation, what convinves us it belongs in the group is the image quality plus the fact that Spragins Major League career lasted all of 5 and 1/3 innings, making him a pretty unlikely candidate for faking in any way.
The photos are in excellent condition with some minor corner wear and toning mainly to the backs. Frysinger collected these often as a way of adding obscure Phillies who didn't have any other collectible to his amazing collection, so there are lots of obscure names in the group.

Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl’s name.
