The Big 33 Football Classic is a high school all star game pitting the best 33 football players (and 1 kicker) from Pennsylvania against their counterparts from another state, usually Maryland. Many notable NFL players are alumni of this game, but the only 2 of the 16 signers of this ball saw time in the league. TE Troy Drayton (7 seasons with the Rams, Dolphins, and Chiefs) and Pete Retzlaff deceased 2020. Retzlaff was not an alumnus of the game (he was already in the NFL when the game was first played), but participated in the organizing, coaching, and promotion of the event after his playing days ended. Ball does not hold air, and it sounds like the internal bladder has dry rotted. Because authenticators are not likely to have exemplars for playeers who never suited up professionally (ie the other 14 signers) we cannot offer our usual guarantee on this lot.
