We believe it to be a real photo post card because it is exactly post card sized, but the printed information to confirm this is obscured by the paper left behind when it was removed from an album. The ball in the picture has "YMCA 08-09" written on it, which is how we are dating this to the 1908-1909 season. Basketball photos from this era can be very difficult to find, and the piece is desirable for that alone.
