HOF member as a player, also named the NFL's 1920's All Decade Team. An accomplished coach once his playing days ended, he is the only coach of the Cardinals to beat the Maroons curse and win an NFL championship (some would argue that since the team was owned at the time by Charles Bidwill's widow, and not a Bidwill by blood that the curse didn't apply, but we digress). The photo is stamped on the back June 5 1945 - at which time Conzelman was working as an executive for the St Louis Browns baseball team. There is no caption present to give us context for the photo, but the Detroit News Staff Photographer stamp is still clearly visible on the back, along with lots of editing instructions.
