The Phillies had bore the unofficial additional nickname of "Blue Jays" for the 1944 and 1945 seasons, though the Blue Jay name and logo would appear on some merchandise and publications until 1949. The pinback measures 1.25" in diameter. There is one scratch that doesn't penetrate the enamel, it may be difficult to see in scans. The charm is a small baseball, the ribbons do have some soiling.
Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl's name.
