An amazing portrait of a young Babe Ruth from Harstook Studios in California. Famous for photography of famous actors and actresses and Hollywood figures mainly of the silent movie era such as Lillian Gish, Mary Pickford and Mack Sennett as well as historical figures such as Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh and William Jennings Bryan. Likely shot around the time of Babe Ruth's first Movie appearance in "Headin' Home" from 1920. The Harstook logo matches what the studio used from approximately 1920-23.There is a crescent shaped crease in the lower left and several light finger bends. Tack holes in the extreme corners and light wear. There is also "Best Wishes, Babe Ruth" written on the front in a hand that doesn't even remotely resemble Ruth's and certainly wasn't a serious attempt at forgery. The writing is noted in the PSA letter. Back has quite a few fingerprint smudges.
We have searched high and low and cannot find this image anywhre else. This really is likely a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a unique type one image of a young Babe Ruth.
