Lot Description  

First ever issue of this long-running college football newspaper. With a cover article and photo of the NFL's NY Giants vs the college All-Stars. Lower left corner is fairly heavily damaged and the edges and spine exhibit fraying. The Football News was published until at least 2003 and was a "Major Selector" of College Football National Championships from 1958 -2002 and an "Official Selector" of College Football All-Americans from 1993 - 2001. Hard to find any other history or the fate of the periodical.
