Initially his studio was located at 50 Main street in Bethlehem, his "Ground Floor Studio" at 17 Broad Street from 1897 well into the 1900's, so this photo is not earlier than 1897. Unfortunately, we cannot positively identify the team in the photo. The facial features are too small for us to make any positive identifications, and there are no clear identifying marks on the equipment. Lehigh and Lafayette both had football programs during the likely time period for the photo, plus the local high schools. There is a name handwritten on the back - either "Landy" or Laudy", but we couldn't match that to a player.
