One of the Tragic stories of baseball he died during an operation for an ulcer during the 1933 season. This is the only playing days item (card, coin, premium, etc.) that we can find for him. Coin has a perfect circle inscribed (scractched) over his face perfectly centered and an arc to the upper right about 1/4 of a circle, and some other lighter wear

Long-time friend of the company Carl Frysinger recently passed and made arrangements to consign his collection. With a collection that stretched from 1887 - 2022 and was as close to comprehensive as we've ever seen, he was one of the foremost Phillies collectors in the hobby. In his memory The Collector Connection will be donating 1% of our portion of the proceeds of the sale of his items to the Central PA Foodbank in Carl’s name.

We are finishing up Carl's amazing lifetime collection in this auction and would like to thank everyone who supported the efforts, especially those who made an extra donation on top of our efforts. We will be sending a little over $1000 to the foodbank in Carl's name.
