Cards were originally two players side by side, but some enterprising youth back in the day VERY NEATLY separated the two players with a bit of surgery. Gives new meaning to partial set! Still a great way to acquire playing era cards of players like Carl Hubbell, Ermie Lombardi, Paul Waner, Mel Ott (both Horizontal and vertical versions), Arky Vaughan, Johnny Mize RC, Enos Slaughter RC, Charley Gehringer, Luke Appling, Bob Feller, Joe Cronin, Hank Greenberg, Red Ruffing, Lefty Grove, Bobby Doerr, Lou Boudreau RC all of which are included in this lot! THe cards present very nicely eaxily averaging EX with many better. 5 have 1940 written in red pencil on the blank reverse.
