Here it is, an opportunity to own the most iconic card in Post-WWII collecting. But not just any opportunity, but a chance to own a gorgeous copy of this card at a bargain price.
To be 100% forthcoming we thought the upper right of the top border was trimmed. We submitted this at the National and when we got notice of the grade we immediately asked PSA, before we even took possession, to take another look. They stood behind their grade. Of course once it received a grade the question became "How is this only a 1.5?"
A well-centered card, with gorgeous color and registration almost everyone who looked at it in Chicago was expecting to see back damage. The back is perfectly clean. The damage is moderate corner wear, a light wrinkle down from the center of the top border to about his eyebrows, and what we took as trimming to the right side of the top border may actually be damage from bouncing around in a box or something else that could roll the edge ever-so-slightly.
For a even a premium 1.5 price this is a buy of a lifetime. We cannot recall seeing a nicer version of this card in so low a PSA grade.
