A forgotten great of the game who would likely be a HOF'er if he hadn't gotten off to such a late start. He was working as a firefighter when his older brother Roy made the Majors. Bob knew he was the better player and figured if Roy could do it so could he. He was right, and significantly better playing in 7 All-Star Games with an .899 OPS and 139 OPS+ for his career. He didn't make his debut until he was 27 years old (jumping in immediately as a full time starter) so another 4 or 5 years would have put him at some big career milestones such as 400 home runs, 1600 runs and 1600 RBI, close to 600 doubles and around 2700 hits. That may well have seen him in the hall. We don't normally bore you with stories you probably already know, but every now and then we figure there's one you might NOT know!
Card is very solid with fantastic color and light corner wear and minor surface wear
