Some may not agree that the Jackie Robinson qualifies as a rookie, but it's certainly in the conversation with the Bond Breads, and almost certainly earlier than the 1948-49 Leaf. In all of our searching this is the only example of this sheet we can find, and it is loaded with the notables of the era including the aforementioned Jackie Robinson, and a Warren Spahn Rookie, plus Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio, along with the final card of Hank Greenberg, and a tribute card for Lou Gehrig, plus numerous other HOF'ers. The fact that there isn't a tribute card for Babe Ruth would seem to suggest that the set pre-dates his passing in August of 1948 as it's hard to believe he wouldn't have been included if the set had been issued after his passing, especially as it is very Yankee heavy.
The sheet is intact and has incredible visual impact, but it does have serious condition issues. It seems like the edges between the cards have been scored as possibly a precursor to being hand cut, but the job was never finished. Of course those scores resulted in weakness to the sheet and it appears that the sheet folded over on a number of them creating damage akin to heavy creasing. There are also a couple of horizontal creases in a rough "V" shaped in from the left edge in the middle of the sheet. There is also some light soiling, staining and surface wear, but when you're talking about a nearly unique piece, having it at all is the victory.
We can remove it from the frame for shipping but it still has to be sent flat as rolling it would likely result in additional damage, There is no glass in the frame so it is not particularly heavy
